Abstract
Genre-specific writing styles must elicit unique neurophysiological footprints. Current research is inconclusive on these neurophysiological patterns within each writing genre, with its greatest weakness being the lack of standardized definitions and research methods. Ultimately, defining genres based on these responses will reimagine how we can best serve students in the writing center.
